Kozica - History
Kozica was first time mentioned in 1434.
During Turkish rule in area of Dalmatia, Kozica and Vrgorac had the same destiny as entire Dalmatia.
After liberation many inhabitants were already gone from this area. During Venetian rule area was populated again.
During French rule Kozica lived in prosperity. Napoleon's road was built.
After French rule Kozica had been part of Austria-Hungary until World War I. Many inhabitants were directed to vine growing.
During World War II Kozica was occupied by Italians.
