During Kingdom of Yugoslavia Banici had store.
Between two World wars Banici had around 300 inhabitants. They were mostly directed to agriculture, sheep and goats breeding. Lamb was sold for sugar and flour.
In 1965. Adriatic main road passed through Banici. Before that connection with town Dubrovnik was boat from Ston to Dubrovnik.
Banici got electricity in 1961. Banici got first gramophone in 1965. and cultivator plow in 1966. from Germany.
Banici had two mills. It were stone mills for olives.
Banici had poultry farm which was built in 1978. and damaged during Homeland war. Some parts were renovated.
Inhabitants of Banici were also directed to fishing.
During Homeland war village Banici was burned.
In 2013. in Banici was kept automobile race for Croatian championship in time trial rides.
