Fort Kula Norinska was built in 16th century. It is built within river Neretva and opposite the mouth of tributary river Norin. Fort Kula Norinska was very important during history. Today it is also on coat of arms of town Opuzen. Fort Kula Norinska was built by Turks for defense from Venetian attacks. In 19th century it was turned into windmill and today it is cultural monument. On fort Kula Norinska is large white cross and memorial board.
Fort Vratar is located on a hill Gradina, on 97 m altitude. Hill is surrounded with river Matica and swamp. Town Vratar was first time mentioned in 1434. Fort Vratar was demolished by Turks in the end of 15th century. During World War II Italian army renovated little bit fort Vratar.
Town Metkovic is close to Kula Norinska and it has a lot to offer to its visitors. You can see beautiful river Neretva and many churches.
Town Dubrovnik is beautiful coastal town surrounded with gorgeous and well preserved town walls. It has many tourist activities, fun events, concerts, monuments and historical buildings.

Kula Norinska - History
Fort Kula Norinska was built in 16th century. It was built by Turks who occupied this area, Herzegovina and large parts of Dalmatia.
In 1685. fort Kula Norinska was occupied with Venetians, but in 1686. Turks occupied it again, but it did not last long.
In 1797. Dalmatia got under the rule of France and Napoleon. It lasted until 1813.
