Baroque Church of St. Margaret is located in old village. It was built in 15th century. New church of St. Margaret in today's Brist was built in 1870. In front of the church is monument to Andrija Kacic Miosic. Statue was built by known Croatian sculptor Ivan Mestrovic.

Brist - History
In Brist were found remains of graves from Bronze and Iron ages.
Brist was named after tree “brijesta” (elm tree). Brist was first time recorded in 1571.
Old village was founded further from the coast and today’s Brist was populated in 19th century, closer to the sea.
