Seoca - Location and Climate
Seoca (Central Dalmatia, Croatia) is small settlement located in Split-Dalmatia county. It is administrative part of town Omis.
Seoca is located on 235 m altitude. Seoca is located in center of what used to be Poljicka Republic. It is situated in hinterland of Omis and in the bottom of mountain Mosor. Peak Kom is located on north-west side of Seoca (642 m).
On west side of Seoca are hills Veliki Ratak and Mali Ratak. On east side is plateau Scadin. On south-east side are hills Ostro and Plana. On south sunny side is plateau Kostanjska Ljut. Between Seoca and sea is mountain Dinara. Mountain Mosor protects Seoca from strong wind bura.
Relief of Seoca is consisted of karts, cracks, arable fields and mountain area.

Seoca - History
Seoca does not have its own water source. During history inhabitants collected rain and used wells. In 1988. water supply was built in Seoca.
It is believed that inhabitants of Seoca in history were noblemen, because there are no records of laborers in Seoca.
It is believed that inhabitants moved from Kostanje and built houses of beams, land, wattle and straws. It formed small villages (Croatian seoca) out of which Seoca got name.
Inhabitants of Seoca through history were mostly directed to agriculture. Trading was opened with Bosnia where inhabitants exchanged figs for wheat during summer and potatoes and hay for brandy and wine during winter.
