Fort Cacvina was first time mentioned in 1345. It is located on 705 m altitude on top of a hill. Fort used to be owned by family Nelipcic and later Frankopans and Talovci. In 15th century it was owned by Stjepan Vukcic Kosaca. Fort was used for defense from Turkish attacks. In 16th century it was occupied by Turks and owned by them until 1717. In 1808. fort was mined and today there are only remains left.

Cacvina - History
Area of Cacvina has been inhabited since Prehistory which is shown in many forts and piles in settlements in this area.
In 1st century Roman road was built from Salona to Argentaria which was passing through Cacvina.
