Milna (island Brac) - History
Milna was founded around the castle of family Cerinic in 16th century. Till 20th century, Milna was the most important port on island Brac. In the middle of 19th century Milna produced 16 sailboats.
Most known Milna boat is bracera (Italian name for island Brac). During the Napoleon wars Russian fleet had its sea base in Milna. Milna had small shipyard and fish cannery. During the patriot war of the 90-es, Milna was a naval infantry training center.
