Mokosica - History
Mokosica was named after Mokosa, goddess of fertility and protector of women from Slavic mythology.
Settlement New Mokosica was built in the end of 20th century. There used to be vineyards and fields and today there are school, modern buildings and most modern school sports hall.
During the Homeland war from 1991. till 1995. Mokosica was occupied by Yugoslavian army.
