Many constructions and tombstones testify that this area was inhabited in Illyrian times. There were also found two meters high crosses and their purpose is not yet discovered.

In 18th century Strmendolac was called Czermindolatz.

Napoleon built path for his army in 19th century which connected Strmendolac and Ugljane.

Peasant working cooperative Trudbenik Strmendolac worked from 1948. until 1954.
