Sipanska Luka is one of the two settlements on the island Sipan which is the biggest islands of the Elafiti Archipelago. Sipanska Luka is a settlement on the north-west coast of the island Sipan located in the Dubrovnik-Neretva County. It is connected to the settlement of Sudurad by the state road D122. There is a regular local bus line connecting these two only settlements of the island.

Sipanska Luka (island Sipan) - History
The island of Sipan was first mentioned by this name in 1371. The ruins of an ancient Roman villa were discovered here. There are also quite a few monuments dating from the Middle Ages such as the ruins of the Church of St. Peter dating from the 11th century, the Church of St. Ivan with frescos, a Romanesque-Goth house, a Goth fort and the Renaissance Church of the Holy Ghost dating from 1569. In the 15th century the nobles from Dubrovnik built their summer houses here.
