Naklice used to be part of Poljicka Republic.

Naklice located in today’s area were founded in 17th century. Former Naklice were located on hill Babnjaca. Inhabitants moved during Candian war.

Naklice is famous for traditional meal called „soparnik“. It is made of flour, onions, garlic, oil, salt and mangold. It is listed as intangible good of Republic of Croatia.

Most famous persons from Naklice are writer Jozo Vrkic and Croatian archivist at UN Nedo Paveskovic.
