Orasac - History
Orasac has been divided into two parts Orasac and Poljice since a long time ago. It was first time mentioned in 1040.
In 1399. Orasac became part of Dubrovnik Republic.
During Homeland war in Croatia, Orasac was robbed and burned.

Orasac - Interesting Facts
Legend says that Orasac was named after walnuts (Croatian orasi), because inhabitants were growing walnuts during Dubrovnik Republic, until in Dubrovnik's port Gruz were built 15 ships.
