Cara (island Korcula, Croatia) is a settlement on island Korcula and part of Dubrovnik-Neretva's district. It is situated in central part of island Korcula. Cara is located around 25 km far from town Korcula. You can get to Cara by car or bus. If you are arriving with plane you will get to Split or Dubrovnik airport and then take a ferry to island Korcula and main island road to get to Cara.

Cara is one of the oldest settlements on island Korcula. It was founded in 8th and 9th century. It used to be called Hara by Greeks. In 8th century Croats inhabited island Korcula and Cara itself.
Cara was mentioned in written document Korcula's statute in 1214. Cara has been part of Independent Republic of Croatia since 1991. Before that it was under many foreign rulers: Venetians, Austrian-Hungarian rulers and Yugoslavia.
