Cista Velika is known for festival „Uz gangu i bukaru“. Festival is using audio and video research to make small history of Cista Velika. Traditional musical instruments are played and ganga is sung, which is traditional vocal performance. Since 2012. festival has been kept on second Saturday in August each year.

Cista Velika - History
Many piles, tombs and forts testify early population in area of Cista Velika. Inhabitants of Cista Velika were mostly directed to cattle breeding.
In 17th century Cista started to divide from Parish Radobilja. It was final in 1845.
