Hrvace has elementary school.

Settlement Hrvace was named after Croats (Croatian Hrvati). Turks called it Hrvatice and Venetians Hrvazze.

In area of Hrvace were found remains from Neolithic.

During Roman Empire in Municipality Hrvace used to be town Ekvum.

Oldest written document that is mentioning Hrvace is letter of king Matija Korvin from 1480.

At the beginning of 16th century Turks occupied this area.

French ruled from 1806. till 1813.

Austria ruled in this area from 1797.-1806. and from 1813.-1918.

204 inhabitants were participating World War II.

Most of this area was occupied during Homeland war in late 20th century.
