First Church of St. Jerome was built around 1600. It was built outside of old settlement. Second church of St. Jerome was built in same place as old church in 1731. In this church were few tombs. New church has altar of St. Benedict, altar of St. Cross, bell-tower, sacristy.
The Church of St. Cosmas and Damian was built in Romanesque style in 12th century. On cemetery in front of the church are remains of few sarcophagus. In front of the church if also 700 years old oak tree. In 1996. It was protected as natural monument.

Kastel Gomilica - History
In 1078. king Zvonimir gave property in Kastela field to Benedictines from Split. Benedictines from Split built a castle to protect peasants. Castle was called Castel Abbadessa or Kastilac. People called it Gomilica after the cliff on which it was built. Family Butkovic built their castle on next cliff which was connected with mainland with a bridge.
Kastel Gomilica was inhabited by people from Donja and Gornja Kozica during Turkish attacks. Donja and Gornja Kozica were destroyed by Turks in 1532.
