Marina - History
Area of today's Marina was home of many different tribes: Illyrian tribe Bylliones, ancient Greeks, Zhilins, Romans. Croats came to this area in 7th century.
In 15th century bishops of Trogir built a fort on small island in a bay and a church on it. Church was dedicated to St. Marina.
In 1657. near Marina was a battle with Turks.
Settlement Marina was first time mentioned in 13th century under the name Bosoljima.
