Sreser is a small fishermen's village situated on the northern coast of the Peljesac peninsula 30 km west of Ston.
Accommodation in Sreser is available in private houses, apartments and rooms and there is also a car campsite.
In Sreser there are beautiful sandy and pebbly beaches as well as concrete swimming areas in front of private houses, but if those who prefer rocky beaches more can find them in the nearby bays.
Opposite the central beach in Sreser and very close to the mainland there is a small island Gospin skoj that can be reached by swimming or even walking as the sea is quite shallow. On the highest rock on the top of the island there is a great spot for enjoying the view and sun basking.

The Church of Mala Gospa in Sreser was constructed in 1617.
One of the largest and most beautiful beaches on the Adriatic is Vucine Beach situated about 15 km from Sreser. It is located in the small bay of Zuljana on the south coast of Peljesac.
Cove Blace is situated 25 km from Sreser in Trpanj. It is known for its medicinal mud used for treating different kinds of rheumatic and other diseases.
Viganj is located 39 km from Sreser and is known as one of the most popular windsurfing centers in Europe. It offers numerous other options for an active holiday such as diving, cycling, speleology, paragliding, mountaineering, trekking, rock climbing and traditional Dalmatian sport bowling.
Ston is situated 31 km from Sreser. It has the oldest active salt-production plant in the world and is therefore known as the 'salt city'. In Ston there can also be seen the famous Ston Wall, which is the second longest one in the world after the Great Wall of China.

Sreser - History
Numerous archaeological findings indicate that Peljesac has been inhabited since the Neolithic period. During the Iron Age the Illyrian community was established here as one of its branches the Plerejs inhabited the peninsula. The influences of Greek and Italian seamen were brought by them and they established classic Mediterranean culture on Peljesac.
Sreser - Interesting Facts
A legend about the Sreser's small island Gospin skoj says that there was a church there in which the locals attended the Holy mass until one day when a girl drowned on the way to the church. After that incident the locals constructed another church but on the mainland, and didn't go to the island for the Mass any morw. Now there is only a cross on the top of the island and that church is gone.
