Ubli (or Uble) is a small settlement located on the south-west coast of the island Lastovo, 10 km from the town Lastovo.
In Ubli there is a ferry port that connects the island to the mainland with ferry and catamaran lines throughout the year. The regular bus lines on the island connect Ubli to all the other places on Lastovo and they are synced with the arrival schedule of ferries and catamaran lines.

Ubli (island Lastovo) - History
Ladesta or Ladeston are the names by which the island of Lastovo has been first mentioned during the 14th century BC.
Despite the fact that the oldest written documents of Lastovo belong to the 14th century BC, the traces of human inhabitance that were discovered in the Raca cave indicate the continuous presence of mankind from as far as the Stone Age (8500.BC). Lastovo was primarily inhabited by the Illyrians.
Lastovo has been on the sea route of the Greek sailors which is indicated by the archaeological findings of Greek ceramics.
The Romans settled in Lastovo with their headquarters in Ubli after conquering the provinces in Dalmatia which can be seen from the many very clear traces of their stay here such as the so called 'villae rusticae' (Latin for village villas which were their summer houses) and water-drawing constructions known as 'lokve' (Croatian word for puddle)..
